Since 1921, Noble Orchards has been Butte County’s go-to destination for locally grown fruit. As the last remaining apple orchard in the area, it offers a unique taste of the region’s agricultural heritage.
From July through September, visitors can enjoy tree-ripened cherries, peaches, pluots, and nectarines. From September through March, enjoy a fruitful apple season featuring 17 varieties including popular Pink Lady, Fuji, and Gala, as well as rare heirloom varieties.
Check their Facebook for current hours and the latest fruits available.
U‑Pick Experience
In the fall, generally starting in October or when the weather cools, families and fruit enthusiasts are invited to participate in an apple u‑pick experience, where you can pick your own apples straight from the tree until supplies run out.
When visiting for u‑pick:
Wear closed-toe shoes, as you’ll be navigating a working orchard with uneven ground and thistles.
Leave your furry friends at home, as dogs are not allowed on the premises for safety reasons.
Don’t want to u‑pick? You can still visit to pick up bushels of delicious fresh apples or your favorites varieties by the pound.
The Nursery
Visit the on-site nursery to find:
Boxes of fresh, delicious fruits and nuts
A variety of plants for your home garden
The Camp Fire
Noble Orchards is still rebuilding after the 2018 Camp Fire, which destroyed 11 of their buildings but only 1% of their orchard. They continue to grow and harvest fruit while operating from temporary structures.
