Museum of Northern California Art (monca)

The Muse­um of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia (mon­ca) is an art muse­um that show­cas­es the unique per­spec­tive and work of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia artists.

The muse­um’s mis­sion is to make art acces­si­ble and pro­mote aware­ness of North­ern Cal­i­for­nia artists through col­lec­tions, exhi­bi­tions and edu­ca­tion­al pro­grams. The muse­um is home to two per­ma­nent col­lec­tions — The Reed Apple­gate Col­lec­tion and Maria Alguilar Col­lec­tion — and sched­ules themed exhi­bi­tions from North­ern Cal­i­for­nia artists through­out the year. Its out­reach pro­grams for chil­dren, fam­i­lies, artists, art col­lec­tors are an impor­tant and active part of its com­mu­ni­ty ser­vice.
