The Museum of Northern California (monca) is an art museum that showcases the unique perspective and work of Northern California artists.
The museum’s mission is to make art accessible and promote awareness of Northern California artists through collections, exhibitions and educational programs. The museum is home to two permanent collections — The Reed Applegate Collection and Maria Alguilar Collection — and schedules themed exhibitions from Northern California artists throughout the year. Its outreach programs for children, families, artists, art collectors are an important and active part of its community service.
