Joy Lyn’s Can­dies is the place to indulge your love of all things choco­late. Since 1969, the tra­di­tion of old-fash­ioned qual­i­ty and noth­ing but the best and fresh­est ingre­di­ents are care­ful­ly cooked into each batch of Joy Lyn’s Can­dies. Choose from over 60 dif­fer­ent hand-made choco­lates in addi­tion to fresh­ly made Peanut Brit­tle, Eng­lish Tof­fee, Fudge and Divinity.

Joy Lyn’s Can­dies received inter­na­tion­al atten­tion in the Man­u­fac­tur­ing Con­fec­tionery mag­a­zine fea­tured on their cov­er sev­er­al times as well as win­ning numer­ous awards from RCI (Retail Con­fec­tion­ers Inter­na­tion­al) for their Black Gold Truf­fles, East­er can­dies, Par­adise Choco­late Fest Founders, Best New Piece, ​“Willy Nil­ly” and best over­all pre­sen­ta­tion at the RCI Inter­na­tion­al Con­ven­tions over the years. 

The busi­ness was found­ed in 1969 by Don Mem­mer, a pro­fes­sion­al­ly trained can­dy mak­er. In 2000, Bill & Pam Hart­ley pur­chased Joy Lyn’s and became the fourth own­ers of the busi­ness. Each own­er has served as a tutor/​mentor to the next, pass­ing on and teach­ing recipes and tech­niques. The pop­u­lar­i­ty of the busi­ness grew along with the types of can­dies offered. 

In Octo­ber 2018, Pam & Bill proud­ly sold the busi­ness to their son, Glenn, and his wife, Jody, on 10/10/2018. Almost a month lat­er on Nov. 8, 2018 tragedy and dev­as­ta­tion struct the the Town of Par­adise when the dead­liest fire in Cal­i­for­ni­a’s his­to­ry destroyed 95% of the Town. Sad­ly, all of the Hart­ley’s homes and can­dy shop were lost. Short­ly after the fire, n exist­ing build­ing in Par­adise was pur­chased and painstak­ing­ly ren­o­vat­ed to begin the his­to­ry of HEAV­EN­LY CAN­DIES MADE IN PAR­ADISE once again. On Octo­ber 1, 2020, a new chap­ter and ver­sion of Joy Lyn’s Can­dies began as Glenn and Jody reopened Joy Lyn’s at its new location.
