Whether you're a gravel grinding weekend warrior, building your miles on the road, or simply enjoy a leisurely ride through scenic countryside, there's a route for everyone to explore Butte County on two wheels. Learn more about just a few of the great bicycle routes across the county.
Make sure to review hiking best practices and trail etiquette and follow Leave No Trace principles as you explore.
As you read about the different routes, here are some handy definitions, from All Trails, to keep in mind:
Loop trails start and end at the same location and follow a single trail or multiple trails to form a loop.
Out-and-Back trails start and end at the same location and follow a single trail or multiple trails to an end point and then return along the same route.
Point-to-Point trails start and end in different locations. These routes are often part of a multi-day hiking or backpacking trip or segments of a long distance trail. A shuttle pickup may be suggested or required.
All trail distances provided are for the total length of the mapped route. For example, a 10 mile loop, or out-and-back trail, is 10 miles total from start to finish.
